Maria began her career in employee benefits working at the John Hancock home office in Boston in 1982. From there, Maria moved to New Hampshire and she worked for Dun and Bradstreet Plan Services, PayPower Benefits as well as Rogers Benefit Group where she gained extensive knowledge in the fully-insured and self-funded group arena.

After the closure of the Rogers Benefits Group office, she went to work for Prime Tanning in Berwick, ME as the Benefit Manager in 1997 and became the Human Resource Manager in 2001. She received the Group Benefits Associate Designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits in 2006.

Maria is responsible for the large group new business and renewal implementation process as well as Human Resources for The Buckley Group.

Maria lives in Dover, NH with her husband Bert and son Nicholas.
