Paul entered the financial services industry in 1983 and co-founded The Buckley Group of Portland, Inc. with his partner Paul R. Buckley, Jr. He earned his bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine in 1983.

Paul manages the Employee Benefits Division of The Buckley Group, and is responsible for large group sales and the servicing of existing corporate accounts.

He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1993 and his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 1998 from The American College. Paul is a Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table, is a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Paul is also a board member of the Maine Healthcare Purchasing Collaborative and Gray Senior Housing.

Paul resides in Gray, Maine with his wife Michelle and their three children.
